Director of Development, Latin America and the Caribbean Basin

Manuel Canales has been working in the Cleantech, Renewable Energy and Bio Fuels business development in Canada, USA, the Caribbean and Latin America regions since early 2007 and has represented Dao in the region since January, 2009.

Manuel is the co-founder of the Caribbean Sustainable Development Corporation, a Canadian private corporation that holds several subsidiary marketing and development companies throughout Europe, the Caribbean and the Americas.  He is adept at understanding the energy and business needs of communities and is passionate about Cleantech and Renewable Energy industries.  He has completed University and Industry studies in Tax Incentives legislation and Communications, Economics and Marketing focused on renewable energy.  Manuel is fluent in English and Spanish and is a global business development specialist that has traveled and worked extensively in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and in particular, the Caribbean region over the past 35 years.
